Game Drives

Guests can either enjoy well planned game drives or conduct their own self driven game drives with the help of a guide. These can be morning, evening or night drives. You are bound to enjoy spotting a variety of wildlife as the conservancy boasts over 50 species of large mammals, and over 300 bird species.

Bird Watching

Birdlife in Taita Wildlife Conservancy features over 300 species, most prolific being marsh warbler, river warbler, red-backed shrike, thrush nigtingale, common whitethroat and African eagles. Visitor are treated to spectacular views especially evening hours by flying eagles and other birds. Bird lovers with the assistant of experienced sharps eyes of guides are guaranteed of variety of birds within the conservancy. Sweet and very vivid melodies from the birds are quite musical to the ears and deep to the visitors imaginations.

Bush Walks

Bush walks are designed for people who want a wilderness experience while at the conservancy.

Hiking

Enjoy a hike at Kizima hill to view the World War I historical sites. Wildlife can also be viewed on top of the hill.

Community Visits

Visit widows, take a tour of their green houses and Kasigau women basket weavers. Visitors are encouraged to take part in tree planting in neighborhood schools.
